BANQUET SERVER (Part Time)

General

The Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier is a unique, luxury boutique style property, Banquet Server will serve as an ambassador for the Hotel and must be a multi-functional individual with an attention to the finer details.

Duties

  • Provide excellent guest service in F&B functions and meeting events
  • Set up and tear down
  • Help maintain clean and organized workplace
  • Be health and safety conscious and involved in maintaining a safe work environment
  • Complies with Pinnacle Hotel policies and code of ethics.

Job Requirements:

  • Serving It Right Certificate
  • Previous experience as Banquet Server
  • Must be well self motivated, responsible and well organized
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including: weekends and holidays and irregular hours
  • Have excellent communication and guest service skills
  • Possesses an eye for the smallest details
  • Maintains a flexible schedule to accommodate operational needs of a hotel environment

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting – under 30 lbs
  • Carrying – over 30 lbs
  • Pulling – over 30 lbs – bending, standing, reaching and kneeling.

Part Time Position

Housekeeping Houseman

The Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier is a unique, boutique style property, a Houseman will provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction, maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation in guest rooms, hallways and designated public areas, according to established Hotel Housekeeping Standards.

Duties

  • Clean public areas, back of the house and exterior building
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, upholstered furniture and occasionally ceilings and vents.
  • Wash doors, windows, walls of public areas
  • Clean guestrooms include: making beds and changing sheets as required, dusting, vacuuming, placing furniture to its original position
  • Clean bathroom inside the guestrooms includes: cleaning all surfaces (horizontal and vertical), all sinks, taps, vanities, tubs, showers and walls and
  • Ensure that public areas and back of the house work areas meet the established standards of cleanliness to assure guest satisfaction.
  • Respond to guest requests, concerns and complaints quickly and efficiently.
  • Keep work area stocked, organized and clean at all times as defined by the task list and cleaning schedules posted in the department.
  • Ensure work areas and equipment are kept functional and orderly at all times, reporting any deficiencies as necessary.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager / Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Possesses an eye for the smallest detail.

Part Time Position

Restaurant Hostess / Host (Part Time)

The Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier is a unique, boutique style property, Restaurant Hostess will serve as an ambassador for the Hotel and must be a multi-functional individual with an attention for the finer details.

Duties

  • Be the First contact of guests to the restaurant and/or lounge
  • Provide sincere and caring interaction with guests
  • Answer phones, deal with guests face to face, assist servers and assist with room service orders
  • Control reservations in Open Table and block time slots, ensure proper separation of large parties and follow-up daily on upcoming reservations and
  • Allocate sections to servers fairly based on previous shift sections, private dining room allocation, etc.
  • Manage seating of walk-in guests based on business flow of existing reservations
  • Communicate section, table seating, special requests with servers and kitchen
  • Assist servers in sections as/when required with focus staying on hostess stand
  • Follow the “10-foot rule” strictly as the first welcome to the restaurant & lounge
  • Ensure the restaurant portray a well-run establishment by being tidy, organized and pro-active

Job Requirements:

  • Previous hostess / host experience
  • Proven track record of outstanding customer service
  • Experience with Open Table or similar online restaurant reservations systems
  • Experience in providing customer service over the phone i.e. making reservations, answering questions, provide information and taking room service o
  • Able to work in standing position for extended periods of time
  • Must have Serving it Right / WHMIS Certificate
  • Have to be organized, tidy and disciplined in managing reservations/walk-in guests

Duties

  • Provide excellent guest service in the Restaurant
  • Assist server in providing quality food and beverage service to guests, according to restaurant specifications in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas and equipment. Stock all wares and equipment needed for service
  • Deliver food orders to guest rooms if required
  • Complies with Pinnacle Hotel policies and code of ethics
  • Other duties may require
  • Be health and safety conscious and involved in maintaining a safe work environment

  • Must have “Serving It Right” and Food Safe certification
  • Previous experience is an asset

The individual possesses strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude towards hotel guests and residents.

Duties

  • Provide Pinnacle residents, members & hotel guests with a high level of service,
  • Operate the reception desk in a proficient and efficient manner
  • Maintain cleanliness of the equipment, health club and pool facilities
  • Administer health club residential membership

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Receptionist and experience in the Fitness Industry are highly desired
  • Able to work independently
  • Respond actively to all requests and inquiries from Pinnacle residents, hotel guests, members
  • Fitness oriented, enthusiastic, self motivated & punctual.
  • Must be detail orientated and strong organizational skill
  • Must possess an outgoing friendly personality

With equipped 8000 square feet of banquet facility the Banquet Captain will serve as an ambassador for the Hotel and be a multi-functional individual who is driven to always exceed our guests’ expectations with an attention for detail. The individual possesses strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude towards their work and their fellow colleagues while handling pressure situations which require a quick and efficient thinker as they occur.

Duties

  • Report to the Banquet Manager
  • Take a leadership role in directing the banquet team to effectively service all banquet activities
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and services standards.
  • Ensure consistency and the highest level of service by training and developing staff,
  • Act as a liaison with Banquet clients to ensure the proper and smooth operations of all banquet and conference events.
  • Set up and tear down according to type of event.
  • Help maintain clean and organized workplace.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of Banquet captain experience is required
  • Serving It Right and Food safe Certification
  • Must have the ability to supervise, teach, train and motivate Banquet associates
  • Must be well self motivated, responsible and organized.
