Banquet Server (Part time)

Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier is a unique, boutique style property at the foot of Lonsdale, near the Lonsdale Quay. We are looking for Banquet Server, as an ambassador for the Hotel and must be a multi-functional individual with an attention for the finer details.

Duties

  • Provide excellent guest service in F&B functions and meeting events
  • Set up and tear down
  • Help maintain clean and organized workplace
  • Be health and safety conscious and involved in maintaining a safe work environment
  • Complies with Pinnacle Hotel policies and code of ethics

Job Requirements:

  • Serving It Right Certificate
  • Previous experience as Banquet Server
  • Must be well self-motivated, responsible and well organized
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including: weekends and holidays and irregular hours
  • Have excellent communication and guest service skills
  • Possesses an eye for the smallest details
  • Maintains a flexible schedule to accommodate operational needs of a hotel environment

Part Time Position

Overnight Guest Service Agent

The Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier (North Vancouver) is a unique, boutique style property, is looking for a Luggage Attendant Agent who must be a multi-functional and guest’s driven to always exceed our guests’ expectation.

Duties

  • Provide courteous, prompt, professional and attentive guest service up to 5 Diamond Standards at all times whilst on the desk
  • Keeping yourself aware of procedural and/or policy changes by reviewing the log book and memo board upon shift arrival; record important and relevant items as required therein
  • Cashiering duties including posting charges, handling an individual cash float, debit, credit cards and billing settlements rectifying any/all outages and/or shortages before the conclusion of your shift
  • Completion in detail of all duties assigned on the Night Audit’s Checklist, with regards to all the negative postings, checking complimentary rooms, room rates and nightly flash report
  • Be aware of emergency procedures over the night with a minimum level of staffing
  • Answer and direct the multi-line telephone console calls in a professional and consistent manner responding to any inquiries
  • Addressing and resolving guest concerns in a timely manner escalating issues to the Guest Services Manager when you are unable to resolve. Communicate these situations to the operation team so they are aware of the situation
  • Assist the front desk with reservations, phone calls, check-ins and departures when the need arises
  • Conduct night security patrols and ensure they are being conducted on a regular basis
  • Assist guest with luggage when necessary
  • Complete all duties in an expedient fashion as assigned by the Guest Services Manager or Hotel Management

Job Requirements:

  • Self motivated, responsible, organized and task oriented
  • Fluent in English. Proficiency of a second language would be an asset
  • Ability to work flexible hours when called upon to do so
  • Minimum one year working in a hotel environment in a hospitality related industry in a front office type position
  • Experience with Maestro PMS is preferred but, not necessary
  • College education in hospitality is preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand or sit for an 8 hour shift
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Duties

  • Provide Pinnacle residents, members & hotel guests with a high level of guest service
  • Operate the reception desk in a proficient and efficient manner to ensure a smooth flow of residents, members, guests and administration accuracy through the company systems
  • Maintain cleanliness of the equipment, health club and pool facilities
  • Administer health club residential membership
  • Safety and Security

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Receptionist and experience in the Fitness Industry are highly desired
  • Able to work independently
  • Respond actively to all requests and inquiries from Pinnacle residents, hotel guests, members
  • Fitness oriented, enthusiastic, self motivated & punctual
  • Must be detail orientated and strong organizational skill
  • Must possess an outgoing friendly personality

Housekeeping Houseman (Full / Part Time)

The Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier is a unique, boutique style property, a Houseman will provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction, maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation in guest rooms, hallways and designated public areas, according to established Hotel Housekeeping Standards.

Duties

  • Clean public areas, back of the house and exterior building
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, upholstered furniture and occasionally ceilings and vents
  • Wash doors, windows, walls of public areas
  • Clean guestrooms include: making beds and changing sheets as required, dusting, vacuuming, placing furniture to its original position
  • Clean bathroom inside the guestrooms includes: cleaning all surfaces (horizontal and vertical), all sinks, taps, vanities, tubs, showers and walls and toilets
  • Ensure that public areas and back of the house work areas meet the established standards of cleanliness to assure guest satisfaction
  • Respond to guest requests, concerns and complaints quickly and efficiently
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager / Supervisor
  • Keep work area stocked, organized and clean at all times as defined by the task list and cleaning schedules posted in the department
  • Ensure work areas and equipment are kept functional and orderly at all times, reporting any deficiencies as necessary
  • Handle and report lost and found items
  • Snow Removal when needed
  • Other duties may assign

The Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier (North Vancouver) is a unique, boutique style property, Restaurant Hostess will serve as an ambassador for the Hotel and must be a multi-functional individual with an attention for the finer details.

Duties

  • Welcome guests with warm friendly attitude
  • Provide sincere and caring interaction with guests
  • Answer phones, deal with guests face to face, assist servers and assist with room service orders
  • Control reservations in Open Table and block time slots, ensure proper separation of large parties and follow-up daily on upcoming reservations and confirm details with guests i.e. numbers, time, special requests, menus, etc.
  • Allocate sections to servers fairly based on previous shift sections, private dining room allocation, etc.
  • Manage seating of walk-in guests based on business flow of existing reservations
  • Communicate section, table seating, special requests with servers and kitchen
  • Assist servers in sections as/when required with focus staying on hostess stand
  • Ensure the restaurant portray a well-run establishment by being tidy and organized.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Previous hostess / host experience is an asset
  • Experience in providing customer service over the phone i.e. making reservations, answering questions, provide information and taking room service orders
  • Must have Serving it Right / WHMIS Certificate
  • Must be able to work weekends, public holidays and shifts work
  • Must be well-organized, tidy and disciplined in managing reservations/walk-in guests

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to life, push or carry up to 25 pounds
  • Able to work in standing position for extended periods of time
